"We left Porto Alegre bound for Hong Kong on January 10^th. We stopped in São Paulo (Brazil) and Frankfurt (Germany).

Hong Kong, which was an English colony, currently is a SAR (Special Administrative Region) of China.

On January 12^th, 2003, after a long journey, we arrived in Hong Kong. From the airport we went to The Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers. After that we went out to know the hotel surroundings, which is located at the Canton Road, in the Kowloon neighbourhood.

On January 13^th, we went out for a walk in Hong Kong. We walked through Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Several streets were adorned for the commemoration of the Chinese New Year.

On January 14^th, we went to Zhuhai by boat. Arriving there we checked in at the Holiday Inn Zhuhai hotel.

On the coming day, January 15^th, we went to visit our friends Jajá and Mulita in Dongguan with the right to eat churrasco and drink caipirinha.

On January 16^th, we left Zhuhai and went towards Macau where we checked in at the Hyatt Regency Macau hotel. In Macau, we visited the A-Ma temple and went to a cassino to try our luck.

On January 17^th, we went back to Hong Kong by Jetfoil. The Jetfoil is an hydrofoil manufactured by Boeing. Arriving there, we left our luggage in the hotel and went for a boat ride to know Hong Kong from other angles. We visited an ancient temple and dined in a restaurant located in a fishermen's village.

In the majority of the Chinese restaurants which serve seafood, it is possible to pick out the animal still alive in aquariums. Thus you get sure that you are not eating anything spoiled. Somewhat interesting is that, for the Chinese, what is moving, turns into food.

On January 18^th, we departed back to Porto Alegre, another long journey."
